Shaun White burst onto the scene of snowboarding at the young age of 14. He started winning medals at the X Games just two years later in 2002 and has won a medal every year since. He is considered one of the best snowboarders in the half pipe ever.

No. Actually Shaun is an accomplished skateboarder as well. He's won three medals: a bronze, a silver, and a gold in the X Games in the skateboard vert competition.
What is Shaun White's nickname?
Shaun White is sometimes known as the Flying Tomato. He has long, thick red hair which, when put together with his flying antics on the snowboard and skateboard, earned him the nickname Flying Tomato.

As of 2021, Shaun has won:
- 8 gold and 2 silver medals in the X Games snowboard superpipe
- 5 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals in the X Games snowboard slopestyle

Does Shaun White have any signature tricks?
Shaun was the first to land a Cab 7 Melon Grab in a vert skateboarding competition. He was also the first to land a body varial frontside 540 called the Armadillo.

Shuan snowboards regular (not goofy) on a Burton White Collection 156 snowboard. He uses Burton bindings and boots. His home mountain is Park City, Utah.
