Sports movies can be inspiring and uplifting. In this list of sports movies for kids there are number of sports represented including baseball (The Rookie, Angels in the Outfield, The Sandlot), basketball (Hoosiers, Space Jam), hockey (Miracle, The Mighty Duck), and football (Rudy, Facing the Giants).
Space Jam is a fun movie that stars Michael Jordan with the Looney Toons cartoon characters. It's a funny movie and a lot of fun. Rudy is the story of a kid who wants to play football for Notre Dame. He's small and not as talented as many of the other players, but he tried harder than anyone and..well, you will have to watch the movie to see what happens. One of our favorite sports movies is The Rookie. It's the true story of a washed up pitcher who finds he can pitch again much later in life. Will he make it back to the Major Leagues?
