Plants vs. Zombies
Plants vs. Zombies is a top game on the PC and even the major gaming systems like the Xbox. So it would make sense that it is one of my top picks on the iPhone and iPod touch. This game is one of the weirdest, most hilarious games out there.
Game Storyline
What do you do when zombies start coming to eat your brains from your next door neighbor's house? Plant a defense system of plants, of course! It's their job to try to hold up the defense against the zombies to make sure your they don't eat your brains
Characters
There is no way all of the plants and zombies could fit on this page. So I'll give you the basics
Plants: Your soldiers in a fight against the zombies. There are many types of plants, each with its own unique abilities. Both for offense and defense. Some shoot seed at the zombies; others act as a barrier that the zombies have to eat through. There are many possibilities in Plants vs. Zombies.
Zombies: BRAINS!!! That is all they think about (if they can think), while they try to attack you. They will come with everything they have to try to have a midnight snack. There are many types of zombies, almost as much as there are plants.
Game Play
The goal of the game is to simply protect yourself from brain-eating zombies. You do this by planting plants that kill the zombies by either doing it instantly, by shooting at them repeatedly, or protecting the other plants like a wall. You can plant by collecting sun points. These sun points can be retrieved every once and a while by the sun, or they can be retrieved by sun-producing plants. Every once and a while, a HUGE wave of zombies will come, so be prepared for the worst.
Game Worlds
There are 5 settings in Plants vs. Zombies; Day, Night, Pool, Fog, and Roof. Each of these game worlds has its own challenges. For example, the mushroom plants can only be planted in the night and the fog level because they take place at night. This provides plenty of challenge and variety.
Overall Review
Plants vs. Zombies is a fantastic game. It will keep you glued to the iPhone or iPod screen for hours. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a casual gamer or if they have a love of strategy type games.
