Disney Pixar gets set for next movie: WALL-E
Next summer Disney Pixar will release the next movie in its run of computer animated films. The movie is called WALL-E and will be directed by Andrew Stanton, who also directed Disney Pixar's movie hit, Finding Nemo.
The movie is about a robot named WALL-E, which stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Earth-class. It seems that WALL-E was once one of millions of robots who were designed to clean up earth after earth became covered in trash. Now WALL-E is the last of the robots and is trying to clean up earth by himself. The plot line gets interesting when another robot named EVE comes down to earth from a probe to check on how things are going.
It turns out that the idea for the WALL-E movie has been around at Pixar since before Toy Story. WALL-E is the last of an original brain storm session of movie ideas that several of Pixar's forming partners came up with including Finding Nemo, A Bug's Life, and Monsters Inc. The movie will be somewhat unique in that it will have very little dialogue or talking. Most of the characters will communicate through mechanical sounds. The sounds will have some meaning, but the focus will be on what the characters do, rather than what they say. There will not be as many actors involved in this movie as in past pixar movies. Actors listed include Ben Burtt (sound designer), Jeff Garlin, Fred Willard, and John Ratzenberger.
