Here is a list of the top 10 mountain peaks in the world. The highest mountain in the world is Mount Everest which is part of the Himalayan Mountains. You can see that most of the highest mountains are located in the country of Nepal.

Another way to judge the size of mountains is by the length of different mountain ranges. The longest mountain range by far is the Andes which is located in South America.

At the bottom of the page we list the highest point on each continent. This is often referred to as the Seven Summits. Many mountain climbers make it a goal of theirs to scale all seven of these summits in their lifetime.
